Bronx interfaith leader and community organizer Sheikh Musa Drammeh has announced his official endorsement of Curtis Sliwa for Mayor of New York City, citing family values, public safety, and educational choice as key reasons for his support.
Sheikh Musa Drammeh, a proud New Yorker, religious leader, and socially responsible entrepreneur, said his decision to endorse Sliwa reflects a commitment to the values that strengthen families and communities across the five boroughs.
“For decades, I have admired Curtis Sliwa’s selfless dedication to community organizing, especially in the areas of public safety and quality of life for all,” Drammeh said. “While I never viewed him as a traditional politician, I now see in him a public servant with the courage and integrity to lead our great city forward.”
Drammeh, a lifelong Democrat known for his interfaith peace initiatives and civic engagement, emphasized that his endorsement transcends party lines. “As a registered Democrat and full-time community organizer, I am proud to officially endorse Mr. Curtis Sliwa for mayor. During these final critical weeks of the campaign, I will do all I can to help him become our next mayor,” he said.
He concluded his statement with a patriotic reflection, quoting the Pledge of Allegiance: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
Sheikh Drammeh, a long-time Bronx resident, said his endorsement reflects his belief in Sliwa’s ability to restore safety, strengthen families, and improve education — principles he considers essential to the progress of all New Yorkers.
