Castle Hill Houses hosts Spooktacular Halloween Dog Pawrade

In a festive celebration that brought together both residents and their furry companions, Council Member Amanda Farias shared her excitement about the recent Halloween Dog Pawrade held at the Castle Hill Houses.

Taking to her Facebook page, she exclaimed, “Who let the dogs out!?”

Reflecting on the event, Farias noted, “My office had a great time at the Castle Hill Houses Halloween Dog Pawrade! 🎃🐾”

The charming parade featured an array of four-legged friends donning adorable costumes, bringing joy and laughter to everyone in the neighborhood.

Farias expressed her pride in the upcoming development of the first dog park on a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) campus, stating, “I am so proud that #CD18 will soon be home to the first dog park on a NYCHA campus and hope to see many more citywide!”

With the success of this year’s event, she eagerly anticipates future celebrations, adding, “Looking forward to when we can host the Pawrade in the Castle Hill Houses Dog Park! Thanks to all who participated—can’t wait for next year’s celebration!”

The Halloween Dog Pawrade not only showcased the community’s love for pets but also underscored the importance of creating recreational spaces for dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of community and connection among residents.
