Councilwoman Ung Joins Hindu Temple Society to Celebrate Holi and Earth Day, Emphasizes Unity and Environmental Responsibility

In a vibrant display of cultural celebration and environmental awareness, Councilwoman Sandra Ung joined members of the Hindu Temple Society of North America for a special event marking both Holi and Earth Day.

The celebration highlighted the values of renewal, joy, and shared responsibility toward one another and the planet.

Taking to her official platform, Councilwoman Ung expressed her gratitude and admiration for the event and its organizers: “I joined the Hindu Temple Society of North America to celebrate Holi & Earth Day, two traditions that remind us of the power of renewal, joy, and our shared responsibility to care for one another and the world around us,” she stated.

She extended a special thanks to the community leaders, saying, “Thanks to Dr. Uma and the Temple members for inviting me to take part in their celebration.”

Recognizing the Temple’s broader role in the community, Ung praised its contributions beyond spiritual practice: “The Temple is a cornerstone of faith, culture, and service, providing a space for spiritual growth and social connection for people of all backgrounds in our community.”
