“It’s About Stability and Dignity”—Bronx BP Vanessa Gibson Leads Powerful NYCHA Roundtable on Public Housing Future

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson is doubling down on her commitment to safeguard the future of public housing in the Bronx.

Last week, she convened a pivotal NYCHA Advisory Council Roundtable, uniting residents, tenant association leaders, and key stakeholders for an open and impactful dialogue on the way forward.

“Last week, we convened a NYCHA Advisory Council Roundtable meeting—bringing residents and stakeholders together for a meaningful dialogue on the future of public housing in the Bronx,” Gibson shared.

The discussion focused not just on structural upkeep but also on the broader significance of public housing to thousands of Bronx families.

“Preserving and maintaining public housing is not just about buildings—it’s about protecting the stability, dignity, and future of generations who call these communities home,” she emphasized.

Gibson also paid tribute to the tenant association presidents whose grassroots leadership continues to drive positive change.

  1. “Thank you to our tenant association presidents who are on the frontlines every day in their communities, fighting for their residents. We are grateful for their continued service and commitment,” she added.
