Muslim Media Founder Backs Eric Adams for Second Term

The Founder of the Muslim Media, Sheikh Musa Drammeh, has publicly endorsed Mayor Eric Adams for reelection, praising his resilience, leadership, and service to the city during some of its most turbulent times.

In a statement titled “Endorsement for Mayor Eric Adams’ Reelection (Four More Years),” Drammeh described the Mayor as a “stalwart leader” and “beacon of strength” who has guided New York through crises with discipline and effectiveness.

“It is my distinct honor to wholeheartedly endorse Mayor Eric Adams for reelection at this pivotal moment in our city’s history,” Drammeh wrote. “Mayor Adams has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the well-being and prosperity of New York City, navigating its most challenging times with unshakeable resolve.”

Highlighting Adams’ leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, Drammeh credited him with laying the groundwork for the city’s recovery, strengthening public safety, and boosting economic growth. He emphasized the Mayor’s ability to overcome adversity, referencing the recent dismissal of what he called “baseless charges” against him. “His resilience in the face of formidable obstacles is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the people of New York City,” Drammeh said, contrasting Adams’ experience and vision with that of other potential candidates.

The endorsement comes ahead of the official launch of Adams’ reelection campaign scheduled for June 26, 2025.

Drammeh urged fellow New Yorkers to support the Mayor’s bid for a second term, stating, “His leadership is crucial to protecting the gains we’ve achieved and ensuring a prosperous future for our city.”

Among the accomplishments highlighted in the endorsement are his efforts in steering the city through the COVID-19 crisis, championing economic and public safety reforms, and remaining committed to public service despite personal challenges.

Drammeh’s endorsement is expected to bolster support for Mayor Adams within faith communities and among grassroots leaders as the reelection race heats up.
