NYPD seeks suspect in violent subway stabbing, offers $3,500 reward

The New York Police Department (NYPD) is actively searching for an individual responsible for a brutal stabbing that occurred aboard a northbound 5 train on January 26, 2025.

According to the NYPD’s 40th Precinct, the attack left a 25-year-old victim with serious physical injuries after being stabbed with a knife. Authorities have not yet identified the suspect, who fled the scene following the assault.

The NYPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. “Any info call us at 800-577-TIPS or anonymously post a tip,” the department stated. To encourage public assistance, a reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest.

This incident is the latest in a series of crimes highlighting concerns about subway safety. Authorities are working diligently to ensure the suspect is apprehended and brought to justice.
