Olivia Nuzzi on leave over relationship with RFK Jr

New York Magazine’s Washington correspondent, Olivia Nuzzi, has been placed on leave following her admission of a personal relationship with former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. While Nuzzi was covering Kennedy’s campaign, her admission raised significant ethical concerns regarding journalistic integrity.

The alleged affair, which was first reported by STATUS news, has been deemed a violation of the magazine’s conflict of interest policies. Nuzzi’s relationship with Kennedy directly contravenes the standards expected of journalists, particularly those covering politically sensitive subjects.

A spokesperson for New York Magazine confirmed that had Nuzzi disclosed her relationship with Kennedy earlier, she would have been barred from reporting on the 2024 presidential election.

This incident highlights the critical importance of transparency and ethical conduct in journalism, especially as the political landscape heats up.
