One person dies, 2 others injured in tragic morning shooting on Cross Bronx Expressway

A shocking early-morning shooting on the Cross Bronx Expressway on Sunday left one person dead and two others injured.

Just after 6 a.m., shots were fired at a car carrying three passengers, triggering a tragic chain of events.

The driver, a 27-year-old man, was unharmed and managed to drive to New York Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights.

Tragically, a 21-year-old male passenger suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Harlem Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

A 21-year-old woman, also wounded in the incident, is expected to survive. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the shooting as they work to identify any suspects and motives.
