Pride Ball Shines Spotlight on LGBTQIA+ Brilliance in Bronx

The Bronx came alive with color, celebration, and purpose as the Pride Ball on the Highbridge took center stage—honoring the brilliance, resilience, and leadership of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Bronx and northern Manhattan.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson described the event as more than a celebration, calling it “a powerful reminder of the brilliance, resilience, and leadership of our LGBTQIA+ community in the Bronx and northern Manhattan.”

Organized in collaboration with Council Members Carmen De La Rosa and Althea Stevens, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, and advocacy group Destination Tomorrow, the Pride Ball was a resounding success—uniting community leaders and allies in a shared stand for equality and inclusion.

President Gibson extended heartfelt congratulations to all honorees, with special recognition for a member of her team: “Congratulations to all of the incredible honorees, especially our very own Alexis Ruiz, Deputy Director of Community Boards and liaison to our LGBTQIA+ Taskforce!”

The celebration not only uplifted voices from the community but also reinforced the borough’s commitment to equity, visibility, and representation for all.
