The Best Movie of The YearBased on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D.E.I)
You should know that in Hollywood, The Academy of Arts and Sciences conducts their Annual Event, filled with glitz and glamor, to present the Best Movie of the year. According to the Academy, the movie that is worthy of acquiring the Academy Award (Oscar) or to be considered for even the nomination, must first be in compliance with the regulations dictated by D.E.I. (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). Meritocracy is a thing of the past, and has been replaced with D.E.I.
You should know that in recent years, the best films have not been chosen based on their outstanding quality, screenplay, and overall merits, as it once was in the past during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Now for a film to win The Movie of the Year it must be “Inclusive” by including 30% women, persons of color (minorities) Gay or from the LGBTQ+ Community etc. The film must provide 30% of what supposedly represents a marginalized or protected class of people.
This means that no matter how good the movie is or how good the actors are, if the movie does not meet the 30% of a protected group like women, minorities, Gay or LGBTQ+ etc., as stipulated by the D.E.I., the film cannot and will not even be considered for the nomination for Best Film of the year.
It is important for you to know that this year the film “Nixon”, based on the life of former President Richard Nixon, was not considered for the nomination.
In the history of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences, it took pride in choosing films, strictly based entirely on Meritocracy and Overall Quality. It was never based on D.E.I. (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).
Think of this, if “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (D.E.I.) had existed back in the day, films like “The Godfather with Al Pacino”, “Patton” with George C. Scott, or “Rocky” with Sylvester Stallone, would never have won the “Oscar”, for film of the year.
President Donald Trump, recognizing that D.E.I. is a form of reverse discrimination, wants to eliminate (D.E.I.) policies that exist within the federal government, because it’s in the Arm Forces, Airlines, Corporations, Government Institutions, Public Schools, etc., where the most qualified individuals are no longer hired based on merits, and instead are hired based on skin color, gender, sexual preferences, and not qualifications or merits.
