Bronx mother fends off attempted kidnapping of toddler in laundry room assault

In a frightening incident in the Bronx, a woman attempted to kidnap a 2-year-old child inside a laundry room of an apartment building on Tuesday evening.

The alarming event unfolded around 6:50 p.m. on East 180th Street, where the mother and her child were targeted.

According to reports, the assailant followed the 23-year-old mother into the laundry room and aggressively grabbed her by the arm, demanding that she hand over her child. Fortunately, the mother was quick to react, managing to escape the situation with her child unharmed.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the attempted kidnapping to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously to the police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

This incident has raised concerns among residents about safety in the community, highlighting the need for vigilance in public spaces.
