Holiday Cheer: Council Member Ung distributes toys to delighted kids at PS 24

In a heartwarming initiative, Council Member Sandra Ung brought joy to children at PS 24 by distributing toys, thanks to a generous donation from the New York City District Council of Carpenters.

Around 70 children in the after-school program, operated by The Child Center of NY, received gifts that brightened their day.

“It was great to see the look on the children’s faces when they realized the toys were for them!” Council Member Ung shared, reflecting on the moment of excitement and surprise.

The event highlighted the power of community partnerships in making a positive impact on local youth. By working with the New York City District Council of Carpenters, Ung and her team ensured that the children experienced a memorable day filled with smiles and gratitude.
