MMC Chairman Congratulates Mamdani on Democratic Primary Mayoral Election Victory

The Chairman of the Muslim Media Corporation (MMC), Sheikh Musa Drammeh, has extended warm congratulations to Assemblyman Zohran Kwame Mamdani following his resounding victory in the Democratic Party primary for the New York City mayoral election.

Describing Mamdani’s win as “absolutely earned,” Sheikh Drammeh praised the grassroots energy and dedication that fueled the campaign.

“He has assembled one of the most formidable armies of volunteers, which propelled him to the top in today’s Democratic Party primary victory. Job well done indeed,” he stated.

Sheikh Drammeh emphasized that Mamdani’s triumph reflects the true ideals of American democracy, where individuals from all backgrounds can rise to leadership.

“His victory is a victory for the United States—where people from every walk of life, with diverse experiences and identities, can soar to the heights of their aspirations.”

Acknowledging the pivotal role of Mamdani’s campaign team, the MMC chairman lauded their unwavering commitment: “Congratulations again to Mr. Mamdani and his strong army of dedicated volunteers who made this historic milestone possible.”

The statement also underlined the foundational values that define the American dream, noting that success is rooted in education, integrity, hard work, healthy living, and patriotism.

“Race, religion, and ethnicity have nothing to do about nothing, whereas knowledge has everything to do about everything,” he added.

The message concluded with a reaffirmation of American ideals through the Pledge of Allegiance: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
