In a statement following the results of the 2024 Presidential election, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson emphasized the deep divisions that characterize the current political landscape.

“The outcome of this 2024 Presidential election represents a stark divide. It’s a sobering reminder of the work we need to do to bridge these divides and ensure that our voices are heard,” she declared.

Gibson affirmed her commitment to collaboration across all levels of government, stating, “Regardless of who serves as Commander-in-Chief, we will continue to work with our local, state, and federal partners to protect the rights of our families and ensure that our community’s needs are prioritized.”

She highlighted the importance of unity in these uncertain times, urging residents to come together across political lines.

The Borough President also called for active civic engagement, stressing the need for residents to stay informed and involved. “I urge each and every one of you to stay engaged and informed. Civic participation is crucial as we navigate the challenges ahead,” she said.

“Together, we can advocate for the priorities that matter most to our community, ensuring that our voices are amplified and our rights protected. Let us stand together, remain focused on our goals, and work towards a brighter future for all.”
