STEMDUP Institute, Inc., a New York-based nonprofit dedicated to educational advocacy, has launched an urgent fundraising campaign to inaugurate its long-planned STEMDUP Academy in the Bronx for the 2025/26 academic year.

The initiative aims to transform STEM education for underserved students and position them for success in the evolving global economy.

A curriculum development leader at the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) praised STEMDUP’s approach, stating, “Stemdup curriculum is the most innovative curricula I have ever seen.”

Bronx students have historically struggled in academic rankings, particularly in STEM fields. This challenge extends beyond local concerns, as the United States risks falling behind global competitors like China and India if its minority student populations continue to rank at the bottom of education indices.

“We can change this with STEMDUP,” the organization stated in its appeal for support.

The first round of funding seeks to raise $6 million, covering facility development, furnishings, and faculty recruitment.

Donations from individuals, corporations, and organizations are tax-deductible, and early contributors will be recognized as permanent founding benefactors of STEMDUP Schools.

Concerned citizens and supporters can make contributions at www.stemdup.org to help bring this transformative initiative to life. Every donation—big or small—brings the Bronx closer to a future where its students thrive in STEM fields and beyond.
