In a shocking incident that unfolded over the weekend, a gas station employee in the Bronx was brutally stabbed while attempting to thwart a theft, leaving him in critical condition.
The harrowing event took place at the BP station shop located on Westchester Square near East Tremont Avenue around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
According to reports, the 25-year-old worker confronted the shoplifter as he attempted to make off with stolen goods. In a fit of rage, the assailant brandished a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds on the employee’s neck, arm, and head.

The victim was immediately rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he remains clinging to life as of Monday.
In response to this violent crime, United Bodegas of America has stepped forward, offering a $2,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
The organization is urging the community to assist in bringing the perpetrator to justice, highlighting the need for safety in local neighborhoods.
