Bronx Teens Shine Bright at Annual Prom Dress Giveaway Hosted by Borough President Vanessa Gibson

In a heartwarming celebration of community spirit and youth empowerment, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson hosted the Annual Prom Dress Giveaway last Friday in collaboration with the Bronx District Attorney’s Office. The event aimed to help young students across the Bronx shine brightly on their special prom night — and it did just that.

“This past Friday, we were proud to host our Annual Prom Dress Giveaway in partnership with the Bronx District Attorney’s Office — helping young Bronx students shine for prom night!” Gibson shared.

Thanks to the generosity and partnership of local organizations including Bronx EOC, Becca’s Closet, Atlas Party Rentals, BXFW, and Not On My Watch, dozens of students found the perfect outfits that will leave them with lasting memories.

“Thank you to all who helped make this magical event possible!” Gibson added, recognizing the essential role of community partners and volunteers who helped transform the giveaway into an unforgettable experience for the students.

The initiative continues to grow each year, offering not just prom attire but also a message of love, hope, and unity to Bronx youth as they prepare to take the next big step in their educational journeys.
