
Homeowners and renters in Flushing seized an opportunity to save on their property taxes as they packed the Flushing Library yesterday for an informative workshop hosted by Council Member Sandra Ung, State Senator John C. Liu, and Assemblyman Ron Kim.
The event, held in collaboration with the New York City Department of Finance, provided residents with crucial insights into programs designed to reduce their tax burdens.
Council Member Sandra Ung highlighted the workshop’s significance, emphasizing the need for residents to take advantage of available financial relief programs.
“Residents packed the Flushing Library yesterday afternoon to learn about various programs to help them save money on their property taxes with the help of reps from the New York City Department of Finance during a workshop I co-hosted with State Senator John C. Liu and Assemblyman Ron Kim for New York,” Ung stated.
For those who missed the session, Ung reassured the community that assistance remains accessible.
“If you missed the workshop, I host Department of Finance specialists in my office on a regular basis that can help with both property tax and rent increase exemptions,” she added.
