Queens man Alfredo Morocho pleads guilty to exploiting migrant teen in sex trafficking scheme

Alfredo Morocho, a man from Queens, has pleaded guilty to charges of sex trafficking after targeting and exploiting a migrant teenager for prostitution.

The 17-year-old victim was lured into a life of exploitation, with Morocho orchestrating encounters between her and customers at various locations throughout Queens.

According to a report, Morocho first met the victim and her friends at a deli in Jamaica in November 2023.

After the teenager disclosed her age, he maliciously offered to provide her with customers for prostitution. Disturbingly, he later requested semi-nude photos of the victim to send to potential clients, further entrenching her in a cycle of exploitation, says the report.

Between December 1 and March 5, Morocho drove the victim from her migrant shelter to an apartment in Corona and other locations to engage in sexual acts for money. Customers would pay him directly, with Morocho controlling the cash flow and only giving the victim half of her earnings at the end of each day.

Prosecutors revealed that Morocho was found in possession of a business card advertising “in-calls,” complete with a phone number linked to hundreds of online prostitution advertisements.

This evidence paints a disturbing picture of a man deeply entrenched in the sex trafficking trade, exploiting vulnerable individuals for personal gain.
