NYC Public Advocate celebrates 55 years of START Treatment and Recovery Centers

The Office of the NYC Public Advocate has marked the 55th anniversary of START Treatment and Recovery Centers, a beacon of hope and support in the community.

“It was incredible to celebrate the 55th anniversary of START Treatment and Recovery Centers,” the Public Advocate office stated, reflecting on the importance of the occasion.

Founded with a vision of holistic care, StartCare is distinguished as a community-focused, Black-founded, and BIPOC-operated organization. Its mission is deeply rooted in providing comprehensive services that address not just addiction, but also mental health and family wellness.
