Police launch investigation after Bronx man kills parents, self

A quiet evening in the South Bronx was shattered by a tragic incident that unfolded within a three-story apartment building.

A 34-year-old man, in a moment of inexplicable violence, shot his parents to death inside their home before stepping outside and fatally turning the gun on himself.

The chaos began around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday when police received a flurry of 911 calls reporting gunshots in the neighborhood.

Responding officers arrived to a harrowing scene, finding the son slumped over in a pool of blood outside the building, a handgun lying beside his lifeless body. He had inflicted fatal gunshot wounds to his torso and head.

Inside the building, officers were directed to the second-floor apartment where the grim reality of the situation was laid bare.

The man’s parents, both 57 years old, were discovered dead, their lives violently cut short.

Investigators found that the mother had been shot in the head, while the father suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.

The motive behind this devastating act of violence remains unclear, leaving both authorities and the community searching for answers.

No suicide note was discovered at the scene, adding to the mystery surrounding the tragedy.
