Bronx BP Vanessa Gibson hosts powerful DiVA talk at Monroe College on domestic violence, advocacy, poverty

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson recently led a transformative DiVA Talk at Monroe College, addressing critical topics of Domestic Violence, Advocacy, Poverty, and Politics under the theme “What’s Next?” The event brought together experts, advocates, and community leaders in a call to action for change and progress.

Reflecting on the impactful gathering, Gibson expressed her gratitude to the organizations whose support made the event possible, saying, “A special thank you to the incredible organizations that made yesterday’s DiVA Talk possible: Monroe University – School of Criminal and Social Justice, Montefiore Einstein, Safe Horizon, Violence Intervention Program, Palms Upon My Hands, and Not on My Watch, Inc. Your dedication to addressing Domestic Violence, Advocacy, Poverty, and Politics is truly appreciated!”

The DiVA Talk, part of Gibson’s ongoing efforts to address urgent social issues in the Bronx, provided a forum for collaboration among organizations and fostered open discussions on addressing domestic violence and its intersections with poverty and politics.
