Tragic blaze claims two lives at USA Buddhayaram Temple in Bronx

A heartbreaking tragedy struck the USA Buddhayaram Temple and its surrounding neighborhood in the Bronx, as a devastating fire engulfed both the Temple and the adjacent residential building. In the early hours of the blaze, two members of the Temple community tragically lost their lives.

Bob Kaplan, a local resident of the Bronx, shared his sorrow, expressing heartfelt condolences on behalf of the community.

“We mourn the tragic loss of two members of the USA Buddhayaram Temple community. A devastating fire engulfed the Temple and the residential building next door, claiming two lives of those connected to the Temple,” Kaplan said.

The fire, which rapidly spread through the buildings, left both congregants and residents in shock. While the cause of the blaze is still under investigation, the loss of these innocent lives has left a deep wound in the hearts of many. The Temple, a sacred space for spiritual gathering, and the home of those affected, are now left in ruins.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the community affected by the loss of these innocent people and their house of worship,” Kaplan added. In this time of grief, the Bronx community stands united, offering support to the victims’ families and the Temple, as they face the unimaginable pain of such a devastating loss.

Local authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire, while fire departments, community members, and religious leaders rally to offer assistance to those affected during this difficult time.
