Council Member Ung Urges Last-Minute Blood Donations to Save Lives in Northeast Queens

With the clock ticking, Council Member Sandra Ung is making a final push for blood donations at a life-saving drive she is co-hosting today until 5 PM at Tangram.

Partnering with LiveOnNY and a dedicated team of community organizations, the event aims to ensure local hospitals in northeast Queens receive much-needed blood supplies.

“There is still time to donate and potentially save a life at the Blood Drive I am co-hosting today until 5 PM at Tangram with LiveOnNY and a great group of community partners,” Ung announced, encouraging residents to step forward. “No pre-registration required!”

What makes this drive particularly significant, Ung emphasized, is that all collected blood will stay within the community, directly benefiting local hospitals.

“The best part about today’s drive is that all of the blood collected is earmarked for use in local hospitals right here in northeast Queens, so you could potentially save the life of a neighbor, friend, or family member!” she stated.

The event highlights the ongoing need for blood donations, especially in times of medical emergencies. With no pre-registration required, residents still have a chance to make a meaningful impact before the drive ends at 5 PM.
