Police fatally shoot knife-wielding murder suspect in Brooklyn

NYPD officers shot and killed a man who was wanted in connection to multiple gruesome murders after he lunged at them with a knife in a Brooklyn apartment building.

The incident unfolded around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex located on East 21st Street near Dorchester Road in Flatbush.

As officers approached the suspect, he was found wielding a knife. In an attempt to defuse the situation, police deployed a taser, but the suspect lunged at them, prompting the officers to open fire in self-defense.

This man was wanted for his alleged involvement in the deaths of a man and woman whose putrefying bodies were discovered in a Brooklyn apartment back in July.

The woman was found with stab wounds covering her body, while the decomposed remains of the man were located nearby in the Ditmas Avenue residence they shared with her son. A knife was also recovered from the scene.

Additionally, the suspect is believed to be connected to another homicide in Brooklyn, raising concerns about the pattern of violence linked to him.
