BP Gibson Lays Out Blueprint for Borough Future, Vows to Secure Bronx

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has laid out an ambitious blueprint for the borough’s future, vowing to “Secure the Bronx and Protect Our Future” in her 2025 State of the Borough Address.

Gibson highlighted key initiatives ranging from infrastructure improvements and affordable housing to education, job creation, maternal health, and public safety.

A major focus of the plan is capping the Cross Bronx Expressway, a move aimed at reducing pollution and reconnecting communities long divided by the highway.

“Yesterday, we delivered our 2025 State of the Borough Address, highlighting our bold vision to Secure the Bronx and Protect Our Future!” Gibson stated.

She also emphasized the borough’s commitment to expanding green spaces, increasing employment opportunities, and ensuring safer neighborhoods. The event, attended by community leaders, faith groups, and local performers, underscored a shared vision for a more vibrant Bronx.

“Together, we will keep delivering for the Bronx, making meaningful investments that uplift our residents and their families,” she affirmed.

The event was hosted by Debralee Santos, with support from BronxNet Television and various community partners. As Gibson’s administration pushes forward, the borough is poised for transformational growth and progress in the coming year.
