Bronx Leaders Celebrate Economic Vision and Partnership at 26th Annual Bankers’ Breakfas

The Bronx was abuzz with optimism and a spirit of collaboration as community leaders, financial experts, and policymakers gathered for the 26th Annual Bronx Week Bankers’ Breakfast, a signature event organized to spotlight the vital role of investment, financial innovation, and public-private partnerships in shaping the borough’s future.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson described the event as a powerful reminder of how community-driven progress can be achieved when key stakeholders unite with purpose.

“We were proud to host the 26th Annual Bronx Week Bankers’ Breakfast — a cornerstone event highlighting the power of investment, collaboration, and community-driven progress in the Bronx,” Gibson stated.

Held as part of the larger Bronx Week celebrations, the breakfast served as a platform for forward-thinking dialogue around economic development and financial inclusion. The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Adrienne A. Harris, Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services, whose insights focused on strengthening access to financial services and driving equitable economic growth across New York communities.

Gibson extended her gratitude to Harris, saying: “We extend our heartfelt thanks to our keynote speaker, Adrienne A. Harris, Superintendent of the NYS Department of Financial Services, for her powerful insights…”

The event was skillfully moderated by Jim Lanfranchi, CLU, CFP of Webster Bank, who also serves as Chairman of the Business Initiative Corporation of New York (BICNY), lending both expertise and enthusiasm to the occasion.

“…and to our Master of Ceremonies, Jim Lanfranchi, CLU, CFP of Webster Bank and Chairman of the Business Initiative Corporation of New York,” she added.

Special recognition was also given to BICNY President Rafael Roger and Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC) President Rob Walsh, whose tireless commitment to Bronx-based business growth continues to pave the way for sustainable development.

“Special thanks as well to BICNY President Rafael Roger and BXEDC President Rob Walsh for their continued leadership,” Gibson concluded.
