Bronx secures $20 for downtown revitalization in Morris Park

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has announced a $20 million investment in the Greater Morris Park District through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI), a move aimed at strengthening one of the Bronx’s key economic hubs.

“This transformative investment will create new opportunities for businesses and residents, reinforcing our commitment to economic growth,” Gibson stated.

She expressed gratitude to Governor Kathy Hochul, the Bronx Economic Development Corporation, and other stakeholders who supported the funding application, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in fostering economic development.

“This is a big win for Morris Park and the entire Bronx!” she added.

The funding is expected to enhance commercial corridors, support local businesses, and drive long-term revitalization efforts in the district.
