Council member Amanda Farias expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the recent food distribution at MS 127, which was organized in partnership with the community-based organization Sharing Excess.
Farias said, “Grateful to see our community come together at MS 127 for another successful food distribution partnering with CBO Sharing Excess! It warms my heart to watch students take food home to their families and local neighbors stop by to grab what they need.”
The event highlighted the role of local students, who not only volunteered but also helped organize the distribution, making a tangible difference in their community.
Farias continued, “Huge thanks to our incredible student leaders who are not only volunteering but also helping to organize these monthly events and make a real impact. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community!”
