Daylight Africa, Green Bronx Machine launch hydroponic farm initiative for schools in Haiti

Daylight Africa and the Green Bronx Machine have teamed up to bring school-based hydroponic farms to Haiti. This initiative, set to be a model for sustainable agriculture, empowers students to grow their own organic food and promotes healthy eating habits, integrating agriculture into daily education.

The project will involve close collaboration with Haitian and American diplomats to identify schools for the pilot program. The renowned hydroponics model from Green Bronx Machine will be used, allowing students to lead food production efforts, providing a steady source of nutritious meals despite Haiti’s ongoing challenges with food security.

“Regardless of political stability, access to nutritious food is essential,” said Sheikh Musa Drammeh, Founder of Daylight Africa Inc. “Our partnership with Green Bronx Machine ensures students lead the way in sustainable food production.”

Community members and supporters are encouraged to contribute towards school supplies and scholarships, helping to bolster the project’s impact on the ground. This collaboration not only supports students but aims to create lasting change in Haiti’s approach to food and education.
