“Daylight Africa Week aimed to illuminate paths to prosperity, bridge wealth and poverty” — Musa Drammeh

Sheikh Musa Drammeh, the Founder of Daylight Africa Inc. has assured Africans that the focus of the Daylight Africa Week is to illuminate paths to prosperity and bridge wealth and poverty.

Drammeh gave the assurance while announcing the successful completion of the Daylight Africa Week 2024.

Together with Mutiu Olawuyi, the Executive Director of Daylight Africa, Drammeh announced the completion of the third annual Daylight Africa Week.

“It’s an honor to lead Daylight Africa Week, making a profound impact in a continent with vast resources and untapped potential,” said Sheikh Drammeh, emphasizing the urgency of their mission. “The stark contrast between Africa’s wealth and its citizens’ poverty is unacceptable. We’re committed to bridging this gap.”

Olawuyi expressed gratitude for the relentless dedication of their team in Senegambia, stating, “Our Senegambia team has been instrumental in driving this mission forward with compassion and dedication. We’re grateful for our volunteers’ selfless efforts and philanthropist supporters’ continued sponsorship of trips for Africa’s descendants to connect with their ancestral homeland.”

Sheikh Drammeh further illuminated the vision of Daylight Africa, stating, “Africa’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty are waiting to be discovered and shared with the world. Daylight Africa Week is a beacon of hope for a brighter future, where Africa’s resources benefit its people.”

The event, sprawling across the continent, stands as a beacon of tourism, cultural exchange, and economic empowerment, igniting a transformative spark in Africa.

The 2024 edition of Daylight Africa Week, celebrated as an Open House Week, has surpassed previous iterations in its impact, incorporating vital humanitarian projects with a focus on health and education.

In a strategic collaboration with the Glory of Hope Foundation, under the leadership of Dr. Gloria Bent, Daylight Africa orchestrated a Health Fair and Back to School gifting programs in Senegal and The Gambia, reaching hundreds of individuals and fostering a spirit of community and care.

In a call to action, Daylight Africa extends an invitation to corporate business owners and philanthropists to align with their mission, urging them to sponsor at least 12 pilgrims from each African country annually, totaling 648 individuals.

This initiative not only fosters a deeper connection with the continent’s rich heritage but also supports the broader vision of empowerment and growth.

With the momentum of Daylight Africa Week 2024 propelling forward, the organization has opened online registration for Daylight Africa Week 2025, inviting the global community to participate in this transformative journey.
