Lights, Camera, Bronx! Regal Cinema Opens at Concourse Plaza, Ushers in New Era of Entertainment

The Bronx is rolling out the red carpet for a new chapter in entertainment with the grand opening of the Regal Cinema at Concourse Plaza.

The highly anticipated launch, celebrated yesterday, marks a major milestone for the borough, promising a resurgence of cinematic magic, community engagement, and economic growth.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, who joined local leaders and stakeholders for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, hailed the event as a victory for the community.

“Lights, camera, action! Yesterday, we celebrated the grand opening of the new Regal Cinema at Concourse Plaza—a major win for the Bronx! This state-of-the-art theater is more than just a place to watch movies; it’s a beacon of entertainment, community, and revitalization for our borough,” Gibson said.

The new cinema comes as a much-needed revival following the closure of the Concourse Multiplex, which left a void in local entertainment options. Recognizing this, The Feil Organization spearheaded efforts to bring back high-quality movie-going experiences to the Bronx. Their investment in the new Regal Cinema underscores a broader commitment to enhancing the borough’s cultural and economic landscape.

“A huge thank you to The Feil Organization for their commitment to bringing high-quality entertainment back to our neighborhood. After the closure of the Concourse Multiplex, our community felt the loss—but today, we turn the page and step into a new era of cinematic magic, economic growth, and opportunity,” Gibson added.

Beyond offering blockbuster hits and immersive viewing experiences, the Regal Cinema at Concourse Plaza is expected to boost local businesses and create job opportunities, further stimulating the area’s economy. The opening signals a renewed push for investment in the Bronx, reinforcing the borough’s potential as a hub for growth and entertainment.

“The Bronx deserves investment and opportunity—and yesterday was proof that when we work together, great things happen. See you at the movies!” Gibson concluded.

With this grand reopening, movie lovers in the Bronx once again have a premium theater to call their own—proving that when the community and business leaders collaborate, the borough continues to shine.
