Mayor Adams hires celebrity lawyer Spira to join legal team

Mayor Eric Adams has enlisted the services of Alex Spiro, a renowned celebrity lawyer celebrated for his representation of high-profile figures embroiled in significant legal battles.

Spiro, who operates out of New York, is no stranger to the limelight, having built an impressive career by advocating for a roster of illustrious clients, including Alec Baldwin, Elon Musk, Megan Thee Stallion, Jay-Z, Mick Jagger, Thabo Sefolosha, Robert Kraft, Julian Edelman, and Aaron Hernandez. His extensive experience in handling sensitive and public cases positions him uniquely as a valuable asset to Adams.

Before establishing himself as a go-to attorney for the stars, Spiro honed his legal skills as a Manhattan prosecutor.

His transition from the courtroom to celebrity legal battles showcases his adaptability and expertise in the field.

Spiro’s close association with Elon Musk is particularly noteworthy; he has long been viewed as a trusted advisor and confidant to the tech mogul. Notably, he took the reins during the first round of mass layoffs at Twitter following Musk’s acquisition of the platform in 2022, as highlighted in a recent NBC article.

With Spiro on board, Mayor Adams aims to bolster his legal strategy and navigate the multifaceted challenges facing his administration, ensuring he remains at the forefront of New York City’s evolving landscape.
