Additionally, Wong was instrumental in implementing the Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy during his tenure as Deputy Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs.

Wong is a seasoned diplomat with an impressive academic background. He holds a Juris Doctor with high honors from Harvard Law School, where he served as Managing Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. Wong’s public service record includes roles as the Foreign Policy Advisor to Senator Tom Cotton and as Judicial and Anticorruption Advisor for the State Department in Iraq. Before entering government, he advised Fortune 100 clients on international trade and governmental investigations as a legal practitioner.

Dr. Gorka’s return to the White House marks a continuation of his steadfast advocacy for the MAGA movement and Trump’s America First policies. Gorka has over 30 years of experience in national security, including a tenure as Trump’s strategist during his first administration. His dedication to the movement began in 2015, where he advised Trump in the GOP primary debates on national security matters.

Gorka’s background includes holding the prestigious Major General Matthew G.
