NYPD officers foil potential threat at Union Square subway station, seize firearm, knife

NYPD transit bureau officers made a significant arrest yesterday afternoon at the Union Square subway station.

The incident unfolded when officers approached a man for fare evasion.

The NYPD reported, “Yesterday afternoon, at the Union Sq subway station, your watchful nypd transit bureau officers stopped a man for fare evasion. When the man refused to provide his pedigree and began to mislead, your officers took him into custody and recovered this firearm & gravity knife.”
