Mayor Adams welcomes Polish community to Gracie Mansion for cultural celebration

In a tribute to New York City’s rich cultural fabric, Mayor Eric Adams welcomed members of the Polish community to Gracie Mansion this morning to celebrate their culture, heritage, and accomplishments.

Known for their vibrant presence, particularly in the Greenpoint neighborhood, Polish Americans have made a lasting impact on the city, contributing to its diversity and community life.

The event at Gracie Mansion brought together city officials, community leaders, and Polish Americans to honor the deep-rooted traditions, values, and contributions that the Polish community has infused into the city’s spirit. From local businesses to cultural events, the influence of Polish heritage is visible throughout New York, especially in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, which has been a cultural stronghold for Polish immigrants and their descendants for generations.
