Jamaal Bailey emerges Chair of New York State Senate Insurance Committee

Senator Jamaal T. Bailey has been appointed as the Chair of the Insurance Committee for the New York State Senate.

The announcement was made by the senator himself, who also disclosed his membership in several influential committees and task forces.

“I am happy to announce that I am now the Chair of the Insurance Committee for the New York State Senate,” Senator Bailey shared. “I am also a member of the following committees/task forces: Codes, Rules, Finance, Judiciary, Crime Victims, Crime and Correction, Joint Senate Task Force on Opioids, Addiction & Overdose Prevention, and Select Majority Task Force on Diversity in the Judiciary.”

The senator expressed gratitude to Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins for her unwavering support and guidance. “Thank you to Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (@andreastewartcousins) for your support and leadership, as always!”

This appointment underscores Senator Bailey’s expanding influence within the legislative framework of New York State.
