Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson Honors Trailblazers for Women’s History Month

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson honored a group of outstanding women who have made significant contributions to their community.

“We are proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of women who are making a profound impact on our community and beyond,” Gibson stated.

The honorees—Denis Abney, Linda Collazo, Melissa Cebollero, Lissette Rivera, Michelle Santiago, Alyssa Tucker, and NYCHA Tenant Association Presidents—were recognized for their leadership, resilience, and dedication to the Bronx.

Gibson emphasized the importance of uplifting women who are breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. She also expressed gratitude to event emcee Elly Morillo and keynote speaker Arva Rice for their contributions to the celebration.

The event underscored the Borough President’s commitment to championing women’s empowerment and recognizing those who shape the future of the Bronx.
