BP Gibson Launches Community Clean-Up Drive with ASEZ WAO

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has sounded the call to action with the launch of the ASEZ WAO x BBPO Summer Clean-Up Series, aimed at tackling litter and improving the borough’s public spaces.

“We are telling those who would litter in our borough — Don’t Dump on the Bronx!” Gibson declared in a public statement.

The community-driven initiative officially kicked off its first event over the weekend with a robust clean-up operation along Webster Avenue, between Gun Hill Road and 204th Street. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves, grabbed cleaning tools, and joined hands to beautify the busy Bronx corridor.

“The ASEZ WAO x BBPO Summer Clean-Up Series is in full swing!” Gibson added, sharing photos and updates via social media.

This is just the beginning, she emphasized. The clean-up series will continue throughout the summer, and the Borough President is inviting residents to take an active role in shaping the next steps.

“More clean-up dates are coming, and we need YOUR help picking the next locations,” Gibson said. “What areas in the Bronx need the most clean-up?”

Encouraging residents to suggest neighborhoods in need of attention, the Borough President emphasized that the initiative isn’t just about cleanliness — it’s about pride, ownership, and building stronger communities.

“Let’s work together to keep our borough clean and strong. Join the movement, volunteer, and make a difference in your neighborhood.”

The campaign, powered in collaboration with ASEZ WAO — a global volunteer group affiliated with the World Mission Society Church of God — is set to mobilize youth and residents to create a greener, healthier Bronx.
