JCRC-NY Joins Inspiring Interfaith Iftar at Riverdale YM-YWHA

In a powerful display of interfaith solidarity, the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) participated in an inspiring interfaith Iftar last night at the Riverdale YM-YWHA.

The gathering, which aimed to foster understanding and build stronger community ties, was led by Sheikh Musa Drammeh and coordinated by Rabbi Scott Kalmikoff of Riverdale YM-YWHA.

The event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to share traditions, exchange cultural perspectives, and celebrate unity.

JCRC-NY expressed their excitement about the evening, stating, “Last night, JCRC-NY was thrilled to join an inspiring interfaith Iftar at the Riverdale YM-YWHA!”

Prominent figures in attendance included Council Member Eric Dinowitz and Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark, who joined community members in celebrating the spirit of interfaith connection.

A special thanks was extended to Riverdale Y and all partners who helped make the event a success. The initiative was further supported by the PATH grant, provided through the Mayor’s Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes, reinforcing a commitment to combating hate and strengthening community bonds.

Through such initiatives, organizations like JCRC-NY continue to bridge divides, promote peace, and foster relationships built on mutual respect and shared values.
