New Yorkers gear up for annual healthy lifestyle month celebration

The National Center For Health Equity, along with key partners including Bent On Wellness, Green Bronx Machine, TBS New Direction, Lincoln Hospital, Church of God’s Children, Princess Eunice Foundation, Muslim Cultural Center, HealthFirst, and Stemdup Institute, has announced date for the annual Healthy Lifestyle Month welcoming ceremony.

This event, spearheaded by Bronx State Senator Hon. Luis Sepulveda, will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lincoln Medical Center auditorium located at Morris Avenue and 149th Street in the Bronx.

October has been officially designated as Healthy Lifestyle Month in New York State through a legislative resolution sponsored by Senator Sepulveda as part of the Lifestyle Lifespan campaign.

This initiative serves as a powerful reminder for New Yorkers to prioritize their health and well-being through various programs and activities across the state.

During this month, the Bronx Not62 campaign will be reinvigorated, aiming to enhance the health and wellness of residents in the Bronx. The National Center For Health Equity invites individuals and organizations to organize health and wellness events and forums throughout the state during Healthy Lifestyle Month to maximize its intended benefits.

“Healthy Lifestyle is the best, cheapest, and most effective healthcare for individuals, families, organizations, and government municipalities,” emphasized Sheikh Musa Drammeh, a representative of the National Center For Health Equity.
