NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem honors environmental services staff with weeklong festivities

NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem has launched Environmental Services Week with a vibrant array of activities aimed at showing appreciation for their invaluable staff.

The festivities include karaoke sessions, delightful refreshments, a special staff appreciation day, and a heartwarming gift distribution, truly making it a week to remember.

“We are thankful to our #EVS staff across our health system,” a representative from NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem expressed, highlighting the crucial role these staff members play in maintaining the hospital’s high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Located in the heart of Central Harlem, NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem stands as the largest hospital in the area and serves as the only Safety Net Hospital in Northern Manhattan.

This institution holds a storied place in history, notably in 1958 when its skilled surgeons successfully saved the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. after he was tragically stabbed at a book-signing event.

Today, Harlem Hospital continues its legacy of providing outstanding care to all New Yorkers, upholding its commitment to community health and wellness.

The Environmental Services Week is a testament to the hospital’s dedication to acknowledging and celebrating the vital contributions of its staff, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients and healthcare workers alike.
