Stowaway from JFK creates scene, faces US charges upon return

A 57-year-old woman with a Russian passport caused an international stir after sneaking aboard a Delta flight from New York’s JFK Airport to Paris and later creating a disturbance at Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The woman’s unauthorized journey to the City of Light took an unexpected turn on Saturday when her behavior at the airport prompted Delta Airlines to refuse her a return flight to the United States. Instead, she was rescheduled for a later date, according to a Port Authority official.

“She was causing such a scene that the airline refused to fly her,” the official disclosed.

While the woman remains in France for now, her unauthorized flight and subsequent actions have legal consequences awaiting her in the United States. Upon her return, she is expected to face state and federal charges, including theft of services for boarding the flight without paying.

Legal Implications and Security Concerns
The incident has raised questions about airport security protocols at JFK and the circumstances that allowed her to board the flight unnoticed. Delta Airlines has not commented on how she managed to bypass ticketing and boarding checks.

For now, her stay in Paris is an unscheduled extension of her escapade, but her return to the U.S. is anticipated to bring legal accountability for the unauthorized flight and disruptive behavior.
