Bronx mother of three stabbed to death by friend

A heart-wrenching and disturbing incident has shaken the Bronx community, as a mother of three, Brittany Webb, was brutally stabbed to death by a longtime friend, Lamont Wilson, who had been threatening to murder her young children.

According to law enforcement sources, the tragic events unfolded on December 6, around 3:30 a.m., at Webb’s apartment on Macombs Road near Inwood Avenue in Highbridge. Wilson, who had been drinking, became increasingly agitated after being told to leave the apartment. He then launched a vicious attack on Webb and another guest, who was holding Webb’s 4-year-old daughter.

As Wilson’s rage escalated, he began banging on the bedroom door, threatening to kill Webb’s other two children, ages 4 and 2, who were in another room. In a desperate bid to protect herself and her children, Webb grabbed a hammer and struck Wilson in the head. However, this bravery was not enough to stop Wilson, who continued his assault, stabbing Webb multiple times in the chest and back, inflicting mortal wounds.

The criminal complaint also alleges that Wilson stabbed the 46-year-old friend, who was holding Webb’s young daughter, in the leg. Wilson fled the scene but was later apprehended by police.

Webb’s mother revealed that her daughter had known Wilson for about six years, after moving to New York from South Carolina. Wilson would occasionally stay on Webb’s couch, and her children referred to him as “Uncle Rob.” In a chilling twist, Webb’s mother recalled that Wilson had assured her he would look out for Webb, saying, “You ain’t got to worry about Country.”
