
Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson has commended New York City Commissioner of Emergency Management Zach Iscol for his leadership and dedication to public safety.
In a statement, Gibson said, “Commissioner Iscol has been a steadfast leader, guiding our city through challenges with a strong focus on preparedness, coordination, and community safety.
“During his tenure, he led with urgency and compassion, strengthening our emergency response systems, expanding outreach and education, and ensuring that every borough, including the Bronx, was better equipped to handle crises and protect residents.”
She added, “We wish him continued success as he prepares for his next chapter.”
Commissioner Iscol has been recognized for his efforts in improving emergency preparedness and fostering stronger community engagement across New York City.
