New York Lawmakers honored for championing Kosovo’s Independence Day celebration

In a heartfelt letter, Imam Dr. Tahir Kukaj of the Albanian Islamic Cultural Center has extended his “deepest gratitude and appreciation” to Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton and Assemblyman Charles Fall for their outstanding leadership in organizing the celebration of Kosovo’s Independence Day at the New York State Assembly and Senate.

The event, now in its second year, serves as a testament to the lawmakers’ commitment to honoring the Kosovar community and fostering cultural unity.

Imam Kukaj commended their leadership, emphasizing their role in recognizing the contributions of Kosovar-Americans to New York’s social and cultural fabric.
