
In a major boost to healthcare services in the Bronx, Governor Kathy Hochul and Senator Luis R. Sepúlveda have announced a $140 million investment for St. Barnabas Hospital. The funding aims to revamp the emergency room and optimize medical care to meet the growing needs of the community.
Senator Sepúlveda, who joined the governor for the announcement, described the investment as a transformative step for healthcare in the Bronx.
“It was a privilege to join Governor Kathy Hochul today in announcing the transformative investments of $140M for St. Barnabas Hospital,” he stated. “This funding will be used to revamp the emergency room and optimize medical care for our community.”
He also commended the hospital’s leadership for securing the funds, acknowledging their role in addressing the increasing demand for medical services.
“I congratulate the leadership of St. Barnabas Hospital for this achievement, which is a direct response to the growing demand for medical care in our community,” Sepúlveda added.
The investment is expected to significantly enhance emergency medical services, ensuring Bronx residents receive faster, more efficient, and high-quality healthcare.
